Jill Atkinson is a creative chameleon with infinite disguises; she has deep, hands-on ad agency experience on a number of creative levels, with a creative skill set that runs the gamut – from art direction, journalism and copywriting, to commercial television and radio production, advertising paid media online, digital, and blogging to social media/discussion forum moderation.
After long-running stints at top ad shops Mclaren, McKim, Baker Lovick and BBDO, Jill realized there was life after packaged goods when she made the leap into the entertainment industry, landing as Creative Director at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
In her spare time, Jill’s an activist/writer/blogger for social responsibility in business, and personal responsibility for what we feed our children and how we care for our planet. When she’s not blogging, she’s exploring abstract landscape painting, photography and geeking out over the latest technologies and developments in social media, transmedia storytelling and digital.
Jill understands how and why modern communication needs to engage and captivate audiences – not just to get products to sell, but to bring about social change, to spread the word about organic food and environmental consciousness.
